How to freeze and store Christmas cookies to keep fresh? even if it's you, we won't tell anyone.
First off, you want to make sure the cookies you are going to freeze will keep fresh if you do so. Most cookies will keep well frozen however, some frostings may lose a little of their natural fluff and texture and some of the more delicate cookies may break apart. After cookies are baked, allow them to cool to room temperature, then go ahead and place them in a single layer to start the initial freezing process. This is done to ensure that your cookies won't stick together during this process. After your cookies are frozen, you can go ahead and put them into an airtight container with a piece of parchment paper in between each layer. These can be stored for up to three months. And when you are ready to serve them go ahead and take them out and allow enough time for them to thaw.
