This Blackcurrant Flavored Loose Leaf tea is a unique blend of high-grown teas from the top 3 tea growing regions of Sri Lanka - Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula and Uva. This tea is enhanced with natural flavors of currants, blackberry leaves, mallow, cornflower, marigold and sunflower petals to bring out its deep black currant aroma and flavor. It makes a stunning iced tea, perfect for quenching one's thirst on a hot summer day. It is high in antioxidants and has a medium caffeine level. The recommended brewing time is 4-5 minutes, using 1-1.5 heaping teaspoon per 8-12 oz of fluid volume. For iced tea, use 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of loose tea or 6 tea bags into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher and brew for 5 minutes. The tea is Kosher and Vegan friendly and is small batch blended and packed in Canada at The Metropolitan Tea Company.
